FSSAI

A Food Business Operator License is a license granted by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. The Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 has made it mandatory for organizations engaging in activities relevant to the company to carry out practices linked to any point of production, production, packing, transportation, delivery, food procurement, import and consumer services, catering services, sale of food or food ingredients.

Compliance to start a food company will be sent to the FSSAI license including electronic registration on the FSSAI website and a paper file drafted in compliance with the licensing criteria of the central / state licensing / registration. The application for Food Business Operator License in the prescribed format along withsupporting documents, Based on the application and supporting documents, FSSAI will accord approval.The list of documents required for conversion of license, whereas for new license application there are 18 to 24 types of documents to be attached to apply.
